John Mayer has reportedly purchased some very expensive and historic property.
According to a new report, the 47-year-old musician is now the co-owner of Jim Henson Studio, a historic studio lot that was once owned by Jim Henson, the creator of The Muppets.

TMZ broke the report about the purchase, revealing that John entered the deal alongside producer/director McG.
They are said to have paid $45 million for the property. However, initial reports estimated that the deal could be worth as much as $60 million.
John and McG will reportedly change the property’s name. Otherwise, it will reportedly continue to function the same as it has for years now.
As for how they’ll split the duties, John is expected to be in charge of the recording studio, where iconic artists such as Bruce Springsteen and Paul McCartney have recorded.
