'Stop texting me': Ex-Nancy Mace adviser goes off on 'pitiful embarrassment' lawmaker

The CEO of a political consultancy firm in South Carolina took to X on Friday morning to complain that he is being inundated with questions about controversial Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) and explained that he "fired" her as a client months ago.

According to Wesley Donehue of political strategy firm Push Digital, he bailed on his former client because he didn't have time for her drama.

Mace, who has been accused by former staffers of living to be invited to cable TV shows, with some calling her "delusional" and "a joke," recently harassed a newly-elected trans lawmaker over bathroom privileges in a series of social media posts and television appearances. She also accused a foster child activist of assaulting her with what the individual said was just a handshake.

On Friday, Donehue made it abundantly clear he has washed his hands of his former client.

On X he wrote, "You can stop texting me. I fired Nancy Mace as client a few months back because I’m a political consultant and not a babysitter, a sex therapist or a doctor who can prescribe fixes for chemical imbalances. I don’t have time for her constant egotistical bulls--9 and drama in my life."

He continued, "It’s seems that I hurt Nancy’s feelings. Can’t wait for her to throw that victim card down again. It’s really her only play. A pitiful embarrassment to the South Carolina Lowcountry."

"I’ll stop piling on. I’ve been worried about Nancy Mace for a while now. Mental health is a serious issue. I want her to get better and seek treatment," he professed.

Donehue's lashing out at Mace appears to be related to her attacking former Republican Rep. Trey Gowdy on X where she wrote, "Which bathroom do we think Trey Gowdy uses? #HoldTheLine"
