PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — This weekend will serve as many Portlanders' final hurrah before the holidays. It also marks the beginning of winter.
Mark both occasions by attending one of these seven events on tap through Sunday.

A Portland actor will take five shots of whiskey before portraying Ebenezer Scrooge from Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol,” while an improv group attempts to help them keep the show going. The show also serves as an ugly sweater contest, with holiday-themed cocktails and giveaways.
When: Friday, Dec. 20 through Sunday, Dec. 22 from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.

With Christmas mere days away, time is running out to nab presents for your loved ones. The Winter Market will take over the Lloyd Center to give customers a chance to purchase last-minute gifts.
When: Saturday, Dec. 21 starting at 2 p.m.

Groups of Portlanders in Santa garb and other festive costumes will participate in a crawl through different clubs and bars including Kell’s Irish Pub, Badlands and Shakebar. The $25 tickets cover admission into most venues.
When: Saturday, Dec. 21 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Winter is coming, and the Leach Botanical Garden wants to mark the shortest day of the year with a scavenger hunt, hot apple cide and children’s story times. This celebration is included with admission to the garden.

Desi Banks began his headlining comedy tour in 2023, and with multiple sold-outs dates, will continue to do so through 2025. The actor, comic and “How It Goes Down” podcast host was previously named among the top comedians.

Louis Pearl, known as The Amazing Bubble Man, has spent 30 years entertaining audiences with his bubble tricks. “Louis explores the breath-taking dynamics of bubbles, combining comedy and artistry with audience participation and enough spellbinding bubble tricks to keep everyone mesmerized,” event organizers said.

Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall will host a real-life enactment of holiday classic “A Charlie Brown Christmas” as the Oregon Symphony performs the songs live.
