New Delhi: Tourists from across the globe visit Delhi to explore and enjoy the capital city and its vast, enchanting history, right from the ancient to the modern time. The tourists are not just any travellers to our country but our esteemed guests who will always expect the world-famous India hospitality.
But sometimes, one off, out of the blue instances damage the reputation and image of our nation because of the behaviour of a few individuals or fringe groups bring embarrassment with their vulgar, deceptive acts that puts us in an awkward situation.
In one such instance, a tourist faced a harassing moment in the old city area where a rickshaw driver allegedly tried to fleece the visitor.
The incident is believed to have taken place in Delhi’s Chandni Chowk area the video of which is going viral on social media. The video shows the man negotiating with a rickshaw driver over the fare and “gift”, most probably a tip.
The video is posted on Instagram and has gone viral.
The rickshaw driver is paid a tip of Rs 500 but he insists that the foreigner pays him Rs 2500. By then, a few locals intervene and solve the argument.
