Lauren Sanchez Trades in Her Lofty Heels For A Slew of Cozy Designer Sneakers on Instagram
Lauren Sanchez is having a cozy streak as of late, trading in her usual sky-high heels for comfy cozy sneakers. The former television personality, who celebrated her 55th birthday on Dec. 19, took to her Instagram to share three separate posts in which she is wearing sporty sneakers in a variety of colorways.
Posted yesterday posed alongside stars like Katy Perry, Derek Blasberg and Kelly Sawyer, Sanchez and her friends visited her fiancé Jeff Bezos at work. Sanchez flattered her feet in a pair of Chloe Nama sneakers in the “Brilliant White” colorway. The designer sneaker pick featured calfskin mixed uppers and hand-stitched detailing that created textural interest. Non-slip ridged sole gave way to the brand’s logo detailing embroidered and fixed to the heel.
Similarly, Sanchez posted a video of herself reading her new book “The Fly Who Flew to Space” to children at Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida. In that video, Sanchez wore another pair of Nama sneakers, this time in a light gray hue. The sneaker is a favorite of many notable stars including Katie Holmes, Jennifer Garner, Gayle King, Oprah Winfrey and Demi Moore.
The low-top kicks marry sophistication with playful bohemian touches. Created by Gaby Aghion in 1952, the iconic Nama sneaker embodies the highly sought-after cool and effortless French girl aesthetic.
Then on Dec. 15, Sanchez posted another video at God Mothers Books in Montecito where she shared the story behind her book “The Fly Who Flew to Space.” The media personality opted for classic white sneakers in a chunky style.
When it comes to footwear, Sanchez usually wears versatile nude and black heels on the red carpet from brands like Christian Louboutin, particularly at high-profile events as the bride-to-be of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. The philanthropist’s off-duty ensembles feature sneakers by Alexander McQueen, Nike, Adidas and Golden Goose, and Chloé rubber boots. She also opts for sandals with gladiator or thick crossed straps in neutral hues for day-to-day wear.
