Karate Combat closes out its 2024 schedule Thursday with its eighth event of the year, Karate Combat 51, which takes place in Miami and streams on UFC Fight Pass.
The event is headlined by Arturo Vergara vs. Eoghan Chelmiah fighting for the vacant bantamweight championship, while the co-main event pits former Bellator fighter Cosmo Alexandre against Igor de Castaneda. Karate Combat 51 also features UFC veterans Khama Worthy and Robelis Despaigne in action.
Ahead of the event, Karate Combat’s “President Awesome,” Asim Zaidi, caught up with MMA Junkie Radio to preview the event, reflect on 2024, discuss plans for 2025, and more.
“Right now I truly believe that Karate Combat has one of the greatest rosters for striking in the world today,” Zaidi said.
