We’re back on the road this weekend as we travel to Pittodrie to play Aberdeen – read the full match preview below.
THE LOWDOWN
Our final game before Christmas will see us take on Aberdeen; kick-off at 3pm on Saturday 21 December.
David Gray’s side come into this one off the back of an important win over Ross County last weekend.
The Hibees came from behind thanks to goals from Dwight Gayle, Elie Youan and Josh Campbell to secure a vital three points at Easter Road.
That win lifted us off the foot of the table, overtaking Ross County, St Johnstone and Hearts and moving us up to ninth.
TEAM NEWS
There are no fresh injury concerns ahead of the weekend. Both Lewis Miller and Rudi Molotnikov missed our match with Ross County due to minor injuries and will be assessed ahead of the weekend.
It is likely that this game will come too soon for Mykola Kuharevich, Marvin Ekpiteta and Kieron Bowie who all remain sidelined.
Gray will provide a full team news update when he speaks to the media on Friday afternoon.
THE HOSTS
Aberdeen currently sit second in the William Hill Premiership table, nine points adrift of league-leaders Celtic.
Jimmy Thelin’s side made an excellent start to their 2024/25 campaign and were unbeaten up until November.
The Dons are winless in their last five however, having lost to St Mirren and Celtic, whilst drawing with St Johnstone, Hearts and ourselves.
The last time the two sides met the Hibees scored twice in stoppage time – either side of Ester Sokler’s acrobatic finish – to rescue a point in a dramatic six-goal thriller.
