RUTH Langsford made a supportive gesture towards her estranged husband Eamonn Holmes after he was separated from his work wife.
Broadcaster Eamonn, 65, was blindsided by GBNews’ decision to seemingly drop Isabel Webster, whom he has presented the station’s breakfast show with for three years.
The close friends previously hosted Sky News together[/caption]Today Isabel shared a snap alongside Eamonn on social media and wrote: “Final show from us for 2024. Thanks for your company this year. See you soon! Merry Christmas – I hope you all find some peace and joy.”
It was liked by Ruth, 64.
The olive branch comes after Eamonn reached out to Ruth as she cares for her mother Joan, 93. following a fall.
Ruth wrote on Instagram: “Hospital visit… thank you all so much for your lovely messages and well wishes for my darling Mum.
“She’ll be in hospital for a bit longer yet, but she’s in pretty good spirits considering and I hope she’ll be home for Christmas.”
Eamonn, who is now in a relationship with psychotherapist Katie Alexander, 43, reacted by liking the message.
The interactions with his ex comes as his TV co-host Isabel has been removed from GBNews’ 2025 schedule.
From January, Ellie Costello will co-host GBN Breakfast five days a week, presenting alongside Eamonn on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Former Sky News presenter Stephen Dixon will anchor on Thursday and Friday alongside Ellie.
Schedules show Stephen and Anne Diamond will continue to co-present GB News Breakfast at Weekends.
Before being reunited on GBN, Eamonn and Isabel – who are close friends off-screen – anchored Sky News’ breakfast show, previously called Sunrise.
The Sun has contacted GB News.
Isabel previously told The Sun how she was supporting Eamonn through his split from Ruth Langsford.
She said: “I love Ruth and I love Eamonn and I’ve got nothing but love for them.
“I wish them all the very best – divorce is difficult for anyone.
“When you’re in the public eye, it’s got to be even more difficult
“I’ve been in touch with Ruth but you’ll have to ask her about her divorce.”
The Sun On Sunday revealed Eamonn is keen to get engaged to new flame Katie Alexander once he’s thrashed out his divorce.
