LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) -- Three men have been indicted on charges related to the killing of two men in a Lafayette barber shop in August.
Shylon Mouton, 18, of Carencro, and Abram Landry, 23, of Lafayette, were each indicted by a grand jury in the 15th Judicial District Court on two counts of first degree murder and one count of conspiracy to commit first degree murder. Also, Jeffery Broussard, 18, of Lafayette, was indicted on one count of conspiracy to commit first degree murder.
An indictment means a grand jury found enough evidence for the accused to stand trial on the listed charges.
The indictments stem from the deaths of 19-year-old Quincy Duhon Jr. and 48-year-old Johnny Trailer Jr. on Saturday, Aug. 31, at a barbershop on Louisiana Avenue between Mudd Avenue and Simcoe Street.
Responding officers found two victims at the scene. Duhon was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Trailer was pronounced dead at the scene. Duhon died from his injuries days later.
Previous reports show that Landry was charged in 2021 in connection with the fatal shooting of 21-year-old Shayne Burke.
No trial date was released.
