CHRIS McCausland has taken a cheeky swipe at his Dancing on Ice rivals in his first TV appearance since being crowned this year’s Strictly champion.
The comedian was crowned the King of the dancefloor after impressing for weeks with his moves on the BBC dance contest alongside pro partner, Dianne Buswell.

During the episode, he doesn’t hold back when it comes to making a very cheeky dig at the world of ice skating with a brutal pop at the TV duo’s profession.
In an exclusive clip obtained by The Sun, Chris says: “This is the problem we have got – Torvill and Dean might very well be the GOATs of ice skating but I don’t think that anybody else on this Wheel could name two ice skaters that aren’t Torvill and Dean.”
Jayne appeared to nervously chuckle as her shoulders bobbed up and down as their fellow co-stars laughed at Chris’ gag.
The comedy star then continued: “Unless the question lands on these guys [Torvill and Dean] or the answer is Torvill and Dean, we are gonna be here all night!”
Fellow star, radio presenter Nihal Arthanayake then appeared worried as he joined in to quip: “I know nothing about ice skating at all!”
Chris’s appearance on The Wheel follows his epic Strictly victory, which saw him win – beating actress Sarah Hadland, TV personality Tasha Ghouri, and JLS star JB Gill.
Chris, 47, who began to lose his sight aged 16, made Strictly history as the first blind contestant to take the title in the BBC One programme’s 20-year history.
After the dancefloor action wrapped, it was time for the BBC show stars to party – and he was seen clutching the Glitterball as he was joined by former show Janette Marara for the after-party.
Speaking directly after his win, a shocked Chris said: “It’s astonishing. I don’t know what to say.
“I honestly thought I could go out in the first week or two. We have just lasted and lasted.
He then thanked his Aussie partner Dianne and said: “She’s positivity, she’s belief, and she’s honestly just one of the easiest people to be funny with.
“She deserves this so much. She’s just honestly one of the easiest people to be funny with the other and unless she changes her number, she’s stuck with me.”
It comes days after the star picked up the Glitterball trophy[/caption]
