SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Schenectady Police reported that a car struck a pole near 797 Broadway just after 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The driver was taken to Ellis Hospital for treatment.
Police said the collision damaged the pole, resulting in a response by National Grid crews to the vicinity. Traffic delays are expected while officers and firefighters assess the scene. Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible.
