Seven OKCPD officers involved in deadly October shooting will not face charges

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — On Monday, the Oklahoma County Grand Jury determined that seven Oklahoma City Police officers should not be charged for the shooting death of a 77-year-old woman in October.
The deadly shooting came as a result of a standoff between police and 77-year-old Annette Prince on October 10. Officers responding to a reported accident found Prince holding a gun while in a car near NW 122nd Street and N Macarthur Boulevard.
Body cam footage obtained by News 4 shows officers asking Prince to put the gun down in an attempt to de-escalate the situation. Prince, however, refused to drop the gun and fired several shots.
Video then shows Prince getting out of the car and pointing the gun at officers before she was shot and killed.
Prior to the incident, Prince was a passenger in the car when she allegedly shot the 75-year-old driver twice. The driver jumped out of the car to get away before Prince reportedly moved into the driver's seat and ran the victim over.
The victim, who has not been named, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and has since been released.
After reviewing 36 pieces of evidence, including videos and photographs from the scene, and hearing testimony from two OKCPD detectives, grand jurors recommended no charges should be filed against the officers involved.
