Ed Pownell bought a one-in-a-billion spherical egg for £150 after a few beers and later donated it to the Iuventas Foundation. The charity auctioned the egg for £200, with proceeds supporting mental health services for young people in Oxfordshire. The egg was originally found in a supermarket in Ayr, Scotland.
