Taking to her TikTok page ‘byzareefa,’ she shared a video showing her 299,000 followers exactly how to use it.
She says: “With just this raw potato, you’re able to fade hyper-pigmentation, smooth texture, and brighten your skin.
“Now what so many people don’t realise is the ingredients you have at home can be so transformative to your skin.
“Potatoes are so rich in vitamin C and zinc, which is going to improve skin elasticity and firmness.
“It’s also so high in potassium. It’s going to keep your skin so hydrated.
“Rich in antioxidants, so it’s going to fight free radicals, which means less fine lines and wrinkles.
“But the part that I love the most is that it has natural bleaching properties.
“So what that means is wherever you have hyperpigmentation or dark spots or dark areas, it’s going to fade, lighten, brighten, and tighten those areas.
“And if you have active breakouts, this is perfect for drying them out.
“An ancient Korean beauty hack that has been used for centuries is applying potato under your eyes for not only dark spots but reducing the puffiness under your eyes.
“Now I don’t know about you, but if something was used for thousands of years, the cost of it is a potato, sign me up.”

Potato peels are great for anti-ageing because they’re packed with antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals that help nourish your skin and fight off damage from oxidative stress.
In fact, a study in the Biological & Pharmaceutical Bulletin found that potato peel extract can boost collagen production in the skin, which is key for keeping it firm and reducing wrinkles.
Her video gained lots of attention, with many people rushing to the comments section to share their thoughts.

Dermatologist and skincare enthusiast Andrea Suarez - known as Dr Dray - revealed why you should wear suncream.
The one thing you can do that will make the biggest difference – and this matters for all ages – is protecting your skin from the sun, Andrea stressed.
“The vast majority of external aging is due to exposure to ultraviolet radiation,” she continued, not because you’re “not using some jazzy serum or layering 90 different things on your face everyday”.
“If you’re not doing in your 20s, get on that now.”
But she said the use of sun cream alone doesn’t go far enough. Andrea urged that you also wear sun-protective clothing like broad-brimmed hats and long sleeves, on top of not staying out too long in the sun.
Doing this over your lifetime – and all year, not just during the summer or on sunny days – “will reduce the visible signs of photoageing”, Andrea said.
Those are wrinkles, muddled pigmentation and sagging skin.
