New Delhi: Amid speculation that Brazilian club Corinthians was eyeing French midfielder Paul Pogba, a report suggests that an escort website is offering a significant sum to facilitate the transfer. According to Brazilian publication Portal LeoDias, Fatal Model, an escort platform, has proposed R$4 million (Rs 5.5 crore, $658,000) per month to help secure the deal. Pogba, a former Manchester United player, is set to return to football next year after a four-year doping ban, which was later reduced to 18 months.
“We would like to express our interest in actively contributing to making this operation possible, as it represents a unique opportunity for everyone involved,” said Fatal Model director Nina Sag, as quoted by the publication.
“Fatal Model has always supported sports. This time, we saw an opportunity to strengthen ties with a club that was already on our list of interests,” said Nina Sag.
In addition to Corinthians, Paul Pogba has reportedly attracted interest from Ligue 1 side Marseille and struggling Premier League champions Manchester City. However, Pogba has stayed silent about his future, despite not featuring in a competitive match since September 2023.
Pogba’s comeback
Paul Pogba is expected to return to action in January, resuming training ahead of his eligibility to play in March. After his mutual release from Serie A club Juventus, he will be available for a free transfer.
The 2018 World Cup winner first tested positive for elevated testosterone levels following a Serie A match against Udinese in August of the previous year. A month later, Italy’s National Antidoping Tribunal (NADO) announced a provisional suspension based on the test results.
After reaching remarkable heights during his first stint at Juventus and with France’s 2018 World Cup triumph, Paul Pogba has struggled to meet expectations. His time at Manchester United was marred by injuries, controversies, and conflicts with teammates and coaches. Since then, his career has been further derailed by a doping scandal, hindering his prime years in the sport.
