LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) -- Each year, Bob Giles of Giles Automotive and News 10 partner together for a local resident to "Pay it Forward" with a Christmas shopping spree.
Jana Miller was chosen randomly as she was walking out of the store, and she was given the chance to give a $3,000 shopping spree to someone she knows.
Miller chose her daughter's teacher- Tori LeBlanc, who has been a teacher for six years and has a daughter on her own.
Miller's daughter, Marti, is in LeBlanc's third-grade class. When asked what Marti loved about her teacher, she said that Tori was "nice and kind."
As a nice teacher would, LeBlanc invited Marti to spend the $3,000 with her. They picked out gifts for all 18 students in her class.
Tori also picked out a schoolgirl doll for her one-year-old, Gemma, to remind her of her student Marti and the special day.
She also picked out things for herself, like a coffee machine and a laptop.
"This is something I've always wanted but just never bought because it's so expensive," LeBlanc said.
"I'm a teacher, and I don't have a laptop at home," LeBlanc said. "So I'm excited to get a laptop."
LeBlanc also got her student Marti a laptop of her own.
