GUILDERLAND, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Guilderland man was arrested for alleged burglary and assault on Sunday. Jacklin Louissaint, 27, faces multiple charges.
At around 2:13 p.m., the State Police responded to a report of a disturbance in Guilderland where troopers witnessed Louissaint fighting with multiple people who were trying to restrain him on the road. Troopers said Louissaint charged at them and was arrested after brief resistance upon intervening.
The investigation determined that Louissaint had allegedly forced entry into an occupied building after breaking a window and then assaulted people inside. The victims were taken from the scene in a car by a good samaritan while other bystanders tried to restrain the suspect before the Troopers got there.
Louissaint was arraigned in Guilderland Town Court and placed in the Albany County Correctional Facility.
