SEBI proposed MITRA, a platform developed by RTAs, to help investors find inactive and unclaimed mutual fund folios. It allows investors to search an industry-wide database, update KYC, and reduce unclaimed folios. Inactive folios are those with no investor activity for 10 years but still hold a unit balance.
