Opposition members walked out of the Lok Sabha on Vijay Diwas, accusing the government of historical revisionism. Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra criticized the government for allegedly downplaying India's victory in the 1971 war and removing a painting of the Pakistani Army's surrender from Army Headquarters. She also urged the government to address alleged atrocities against minorities in Bangladesh.
