Thought to be one-of-20, the Ford RS from the ‘Group B’ rallying era has been spotted in excellent condition.
The model has even been finished in Ferrari red and it is a road-legal version of the competitive rally car from Ford.
Decked out with all the mod-cons a driver could desire, the vehicle has Speedline split-rims electric windows and mirrors, and a remote central locking and alarm system.
The interior pictures also reveal comfort for passengers with half-leather Recaro seats and a front-mounted gearbox.
Featuring a mid-mounted engine, the four-wheel drive car even has ties to Formula 1.
Its chassis was designed by F1 designer, Tony Southgate, in conjunction with the engineer, John Wheeler.
The car has been set to be auctioned on Saturday 22nd February 2025 at Stoneleigh Park, Coventry.
“The Chassis is one of the 20 RS200 examples completed to ‘S’ spec,” reads the listing.
“It is also one of only four originally finished in what has become known as ‘Ferrari Red’, only two of which are believed to still exist in their original configuration.
“It’s fully specified with an options list as long as your arm, making this ‘rally car for the road’ totally approachable as a daily driver as confirmed by its one and only keeper.
“Since being first registered on the 18th of October 1990, the car has been much loved and, more importantly, used covering a whisper under 20,000 miles throughout its life.
“The car is offered directly from its one and only owner, this is an unrepeatable opportunity to own a well maintained, beautifully presented, right-hand drive, ‘S-spec’ RS200 with a mileage that means it can be enjoyed whenever you feel like it, and add a few more chapters to its 34-year story.”
