Next Wolves manager odds: Markets suggest Vitor Pereira appointment close as David Moyes and Solskjaer chances revealed

WOLVES look set to appoint Gary O’Neil’s successor shortly, if the betting markets have it right.

O’Neil was sacked following another disastrous defeat at the weekend, conceding in the dying minutes to lose at home to fellow strugglers Ipswich.

There was yet another chaotic meltdown from the players following the full-time whistle, for the second game running.

Video emerged of Matheus Cunha appearing to PUNCH an Ipswich security guard, then SLAPPING him in the face, ripping off his glasses, while Craig Dawson restrained Rayan Ait-Nouri by picking him up in the melee.

Wolves are only kept off the bottom of the table by Southampton, who themselves sacked their manager over the weekend after a dire start to the campaign.

So quite the job for someone to take on. Though it would appear the decision has already been made.

The club are already working on a deal to appoint Pereira, The Athletic claimed, with personal terms seemingly straightforward given he’s keen on the switch.

He is currently in charge of Saudi Pro League side Al Shabab, with Wolves prepared to pay his release clause to lure him to the Prem.

Should he make the move, it would be his FOURTEENTH job in management, bringing with him a wealth of experience.

David Moyes (6/1) is second favourite in the market, ahead of John Eustace (10/1), Carlos Corberan (121) and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (16/1).
