AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man wanted on a Travis County arrest warrant for the continuous sexual abuse of a young child was apprehended Wednesday by U.S. Marshals.
According to the U.S. Marshals Office, 60-year-old Henry Torres, of Bastrop, was arrested in connection with a May 2023 warrant.
According to the office, U.S. Marshals extradited Torres after he was intercepted by foreign officials in Panama.
Torres was indicted by a grand jury in Travis County on Oct. 31, 2023 on 11 counts that included sexual abuse of a child - continuous, indecency with a child sexual contact, aggravated sexual assault of a child, and indecency with a child sexual contact.
After arriving at the Austin Bergstrom International Airport, Torres was taken and booked into the Travis County Jail. His bond was set at $100,000 while he awaits further judicial proceedings.
