Landman is one of the big new TV shows on Paramount+!
The series, co-created by Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan and based on Christian Wallace’s 2019 podcast Boomtown, centers around Billy Bob Thornton’s Tommy Norris as he navigates the chaos of the oil industry in Texas, featuring stars like Jon Hamm and Demi Moore.
While the show just premiered on the streamer last month, there’s already a nw update regarding the possibility of a Season 2.

Landman has not yet been officially renewed for Season 2. While the creator has plans for a second season, one actor says it’s still up in the air.
In an interview with The Direct last month, co-creator Christian Wallace confirmed plans for a potential Season 2.
“As long as there are stories to tell, I would love to keep telling them,” he said. “And I think we really just skinned the surface on our first season, and that’s saying something because they cover a lot of ground. So yeah, I hope we keep telling these stories for a while.”
Then in December, Cooper actor Jacob Lofland addressed Season 2 during an interview with Screen Rant.
“Completely unofficial, I can’t say yay or nay, and I have no idea. All I can say is I hope, more than anything, that we go back to working as quick as we can on it, because it’s a blast, and I love making it, and I think this story needs to be told, and I think people are going to love it … So I’ve just been so curious, waiting on Taylor [Sheridan]. Hopefully, we get to Season 2, and start reading and see what’s in store for Cooper.”
Co-creator Taylor Sheridan has produced four hit TV shows for Paramount+, and they have all lasted for two or more seasons, including Mayor of Kingstown, Tulsa King, Lioness, and 1923.
Landman is also not billed as a miniseries or limited series, so there’s a high likelihood of a Season 2 renewal. Stay tuned as we wait to hear more a potential second season!
