A man has been killed after falling inside a Birmingham shopping centre in front of Christmas shoppers.
The man died after he fell from the upper level of the Bullring & Grand Central shopping centre on Moor Street on Friday.
The incident happened reportedly just as the site was about to close at about 9pm.
Eyewitnesses said they saw a man fall down, the Sun reports.
The emergency services were alerted after reports of a man falling down from the upper level.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
His death is not being treated as suspicious, West Midlands Police said.
The case will now be passed to the city’s coroner, the force confirmed.
It said in a statement: ‘We were called at 9.04pm on Friday (December 13) after a man fell from the upper level of the Bullring. The man sadly died at the scene.
‘His next-of-kin have been informed and his death is not being treated as suspicious.’
Metro approached Birmingham Bullring for a comment.
The incident comes just days after part of the shopping centre car park was sealed off following a fire.
Footage shows a sports car going up in flames inside the car park on Monday, Birmingham Live reported.
