Hello Friends,
A rather blah start to Sunday. I grabbed the snap at Longy around 0900 as the south wind was settling into a steady 9-10 kts and the 1 metre, 10-sec swell was dead south. A few optimists were in the water, but set waves were struggling to make the knee high mark.
There isn’t any immediate prospect of an improvement to surf conditions for Sydney that I can see. Wednesday’s a maybe-possibly for a cloudy day with some onshore, south wind swell junkiness. Beyond that, it looks like a run of small and short period bumps through to Christmas Eve. Beachwatch says water’s clean and around 21. So, that’s good.
Have a great Sunday!
A ridge of high pressure is developing along the New South Wales coastal waters while a trough over the central waters decays this weekend. North to northeasterly winds are forecast to increase on Monday ahead of a cold front bringing a fresh to strong and gusty southerly change to southern and central waters on Tuesday and northern waters early Wednesday.
