TOPEKA (KSNT) - The 41st annual Children's Shopping Spree day took place at the Garfield Community Center Saturday morning.
This event featured over 15 vendors with affordable gifts and gave kids an opportunity to shop for their loved ones.
For one vendor, this four-decade event has been a long-standing tradition for them as well.
"We've been doing the children's shopping spree for 22 years," Brenda Kennel said. "And before that when he was little I used to bring him out here to go shopping. I really love doing the shopping spree. I think it helps with the community."
Kids also had the opportunity to have their gifts wrapped for free by volunteers at the event.
