Jamie Foxx sustained an injury that sent him to the hospital while out for his birthday on Friday night (December 13).
The entertainer turned 57 on Friday and celebrated the occasion alongside his family with an evening out at Mr. Chow restaurant in Beverly Hills, Calif.
However, a report revealed that he was involved in an altercation inside the venue. Additional details have come to light, and a representative of his issued a statement about what happened.

TMZ broke the news, reporting that law enforcement was called to the restaurant. Sources told them that Jamie did not stay to talk to them, adding that he did sustain an injury.
A witness told the outlet that Jamie was being harassed by another party at the restaurant. He was reportedly hit in the face by a glass when he asked them to stop their “rude and vulgar” comments.
A spokesperson issued a statement on the situation: “Jamie Foxx was at his birthday dinner when someone from another table threw a glass that hit him in the mouth. He had to get stitches and is recovering. The police were called and the matter is now in law enforcement’s hands.”
