Hawks and Bucks face off in Las Vegas.
NBA Cup action begins tonight in Las Vegas as the Milwaukee Bucks take on the Atlanta Hawks. Special guest Ben Pfeifer will join Tony Pesta of Fear the Sword on Playback at 4:30 p.m. Eastern.
The Hawks previously stunned the New York Knicks behind a dominant defensive performance. Dyson Daniels put on a clinic, holding Jalen Brunson to just 14 points on 5-15 shooting. Trae Young posted 22 points and 11 assists while Jalen Johnson notched a double-double of his own with 21 points and 15 rebounds. De’Andre Hunter led all scorers with 24 points off the Atlanta bench.
Meanwhile, Milwaukee has been turning a corner. Their slow start to the season has been met with a 9-2 run leading to their trip to Vegas. Giannis Antetokounmpo is playing at an all-world level by averaging a league-high 32.7 points and 11.4 rebounds along the way. Last year, the Bucks were knocked out of the sem-finals by Tyrese Haliburton and the Indiana Pacers. Milwaukee will hope for a better result this time around.
