What are Friday's Mega Millions winning numbers?
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- Friday the 13th could be a lucky day for at least one person if they play their numbers right.
Friday's Mega Millions drawing could be worth an estimated $670 million for a winning ticket, although most winners choose a one-time cash payment, in this case worth $317.8 million. The jackpot represents the eighth richest in the game's history.
Friday's winning numbers are 36, 43, 52, 58 and 65; the Mega Ball is 16 and the Megaplier is 3X.
To win the jackpot, players must match the five winning white balls and the Mega Ball.
Over the course of Mega Millions history, jackpots have been won seven times on Fridays the 13ths. The last time was Jan. 13, 2023, when a whopping $1.348 billion jackpot was won in Maine.
The Mega Millions jackpot was last won on Sept. 10 for $810 million. Since then, more than 16.5 million winning tickets worth at least $2 have been sold; this includes 42 worth $1 million or more, according to the lottery; at least one of those winners is from Ohio. In Tuesday's drawing, one ticket sold in Florida matched the five white balls and the Megaplier, resulting in a $5 million prize.
The odds of winning any Mega Millions prize are 1 in 24; the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 302,575,350.
Winning numbers are drawn at 11 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays. Tickets are $2 with an optional $1 to add the Megaplier.
