LIVERPOOL are celebrating a win over pop sensation Taylor Swift as they top the league table of Christmas calendar sales.
Fans of the Premier League club have put the Reds in No1 spot, closely followed by the Shake It Off singer, who has had most things her way so far this year.
According to Danilo Promotions, the UK’s biggest seller of calendars, Liverpool’s footie rivals Arsenal make it into the top ten for the first time at six.
Manchester United rank third in the list for the second year running.
Disney’s lovable alien Stitch is fourth, the new Wicked film comes in at five, and cartoon puppy Bluey is seventh.
There is even still a place, at eight, for Sir Cliff Richard, whose loyal fans have made sure his calendars are popular buys each Christmas time.
Oasis also make the list at nine, no doubt boosted by news of their reunion gigs in 2025.
Completing the top buys is children’s favourite The Gruffalo. Danilo, which expects to sell around 3million this year, says about a quarter of British households have official calendars in their homes.
Managing director Daniel Prince added: “Despite us all having our own calendars on our phones these days, there remains a place for a wall calendar to keep track of family movements in a busy household”.
