Speaking to Fox Sports, Mike said that he didn’t “remember the fight that much.”
“I kind of blanked out a little,” he admitted, via People. “I remember coming back from the first round and Jake is doing some kind of…I don’t know what he was doing,” he said, referencing Jake bowing.
“And that’s the last thing I remember,” he said.
Mike said that he was still feeling the fight when he woke up the day after.
“I don’t remember it, but my body was really sore, my chest, my stomach was really sore,” he recalled. “The day after I woke up and said to my wife, ‘Why did I do that?’ I just don’t know what the hell was going on.”
By the sounds of it, he has no regrets, though. Mike said that there was nothing he’d change about the fight, stressing, “Not at all.”
