Christina Haack had a tough year with her contentious divorce from her third husband, Josh Hall, but she has two people in her corner. Her first ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa are looking out for her now and in the future, especially when it comes to her dating life.
The dynamic duo shared with Access Hollywood how they are supporting her — and it’s amazing to see the evolution of their relationship. “We’re here for anything she needs, honestly,” Tarek said on Dec. 11. “I know there’s a lot of stuff going on in the world between the co-parenting, but at the end of the day, we’re actually friends. We take care of each other, we’re really supportive.”
Heather also has plans to help Haack out when she’s ready to date, too. “We just talked about that, actually, that we should screen all of the next guys, so I feel like we’d be good judges,” she said while promising that she and Tarek are “up for the challenge” as wingmen. There’s nothing like your ex-husband deciding whether someone should date his ex-wife. We kid! It sounds like the El Moussas really want Haack to be happy.
Haack’s split from Hall is going to be front and center in their upcoming HGTV series, The Flip Off. A newly released clip from the January 2025 show gave insight into how Haack’s breakup unfolded — it happened during production. She revealed the shocking news to Tarek, who had a heart-to-heart conversation with his ex.
“Josh and I officially split up,” she said in the clip. “We had a blow up… middle fingers in my face. Things with Josh have been bad for a long time. The kids literally asked me to leave. They told me he’s not nice to me. Why would I stick around?”
She goes on to reveal how “everything since like 2016 has been so hard and so horrible” and that it’s “really taken a really bad toll” on her. Tarek emphasized with her, noting, “I understand that feeling of being a little bit lost. And I acknowledge that I’m a big part, if not the entire part, of all of this.”
It feels like Tarek and Haack have seen a huge amount of growth in the past two years in learning how to co-parent their children, Taylor, 14, and Brayden, 9. It’s sweet to see how he’s there for her during a very sad time in her life. So, if and when she’s ready to date, Tarek and Heather are going to make sure Haack is with the right person because she deserves to be happy.
