PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Police say an armed suspect was arrested after barricading himself inside a pickup truck in Southeast Portland, prompting a tactical team response late Friday night.
Just after 10 p.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Southeast 72nd Avenue and Harold Street.
When police arrived, officials said they "found evidence of gunfire, but no one injured."
However, they spotted the suspected gunman - identified as 26-year-old Jeremy Clark - inside a pickup truck. When they asked him to come out, he refused, police said.
After Special Emergency Reaction Team (SERT), the Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT) and a K9 unit were called to the scene, Clark surrendered just before midnight, authorities said.
A gun believed to be used in the shooting was also recovered by officers.
Clark was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on charges of felon in possession of a firearm, discharging a firearm in the city, unlawful possession of a loaded firearm in a public place, a probation violation detainer and multiple warrants
