Emma Bunton WINS £4m row with the taxman over unpaid bill after Spice Girls reunion
EMMA Bunton has won her row with the taxman over her £4M earnings from the Spice Girls reunion tour.
Baby Spice was hit with HMRC demands after making a fortune from the series of concerts with Geri Horner, Mel B and Mel C in 2019.
Emma, 48, banked £3,929,282 from the reunion before placing her firm Monsta Touring Ltd into voluntary liquidation in 2021.
The company had been set up to handle her tour earnings and paid £748,012 in corporation tax before winding up.
It was then given a second £185,006 tax bill to settle affairs and close the business.
Yet HMRC believed that she had a further debt to pay despite liquidators stating that they understood all tax had already been paid.
Now we can reveal that the final liquidator’s report reveals that the firm didn’t pay anything to creditors, including the taxman, in the final twelve month period.
The company can finally be dissolved, which will happen on 10 March next year.
Emma, who has two children with former Damage singer Jade Jones, has already received a cash payout worth £3,181,268 from the firm.
The 2019 tour saw The Spice Girls perform as a foursome without Posh Spice, Victoria Beckham.
