It’s all looking rosy for Arne Slot’s side.

Liverpool lead the Champions League table after six wins from six matches and are four points clear at the top of the Premier League with a game in hand.

They enjoyed the luxury of a weekend off after the postponement of the Merseyside derby AND have perhaps the best goalkeeper in world football back between the sticks.

OK, they weren’t at their brilliant best during their 1-0 victory over Girona earlier this week, but maximum points and another clean sheet mean Liverpool have all but skipped the play-off round and secured a spot in the Champions League last 16.

They return to domestic duties this weekend as Marco Silva’s Fulham make the daunting trip to Anfield.

And they’ll feel confident of getting a result given they’ve beaten the Cottagers in six of their last seven meetings on Merseyside by an aggregate score of 17-5.

Liverpool already boast the best defensive record in the division having conceded just 11 goals all season, and the return of Alisson will only boost their chances of an eight clean sheet.

But it could be a tense affair against Fulham, who have lost just once in their last seven games, conceded the fewest away goals of any Premier League side and boast the fifth-lowest expected goals conceded (xGC) at 8.34.

However, the visitors will be without stalwart Calvin Bassey after he picked up a suspension for yellow card accumulation, while it’s still unclear whether Joachim Anderson will be fit enough to feature.

First assist

We’re opting for Liverpool full-back Andrew Robertson to grab his first Premier League assist of the season against Fulham this weekend.

The Scottish international, 30, has created 19 opportunities for his colleagues this campaign with the third-highest xA (expected assists) of any Liverpool player at 1.74.

Over the last four league games, Robertson has the most touches in the opposition final third, created the most chances (9) and an xA bettered by only Mohamed Salah and Dominik Szoboszlai.

Penalty

Liverpool have been awarded four penalties in the Premier League this season – only Bournemouth can better that and three of those were given in the same game!

In fact, the Reds are on something of a “hot streak” for spot kicks having been awarded four in their last five games in all competitions.

Mohamed Salah has netted five of his six penalties this season, missing just once against Real Madrid in the Champions League.
