Nick Jonas is gushing about his Disney Channel peers!
The 32-year-old actor and musician made his acting debut on the network in 2007 on Hannah Montana (playing himself), right after the Jonas Brothers released their first album on Disney’s Hollywood Records.
Both of those came after the JoBros released “Kids of the Future” from the Meet the Robinsons soundtrack months prior.
Since then, he appeared in both Camp Rock movies and headlined the TV series JONAS, on top of multiple albums.
During his time at the Red Sea Film Festival this week, Nick praised his fellow Disney Channel alums that were on the network at the same time as him, and he reacted to ex Selena Gomez‘s 2025 Golden Globes nomination for Best Supporting Actress in Emilia Perez.

Nick said he saw her nomination and noted it’s a “tremendous thing” for his peers to receive accolades.
“I think that’s a real testament to Disney’s ability to find and foster talent and understand what makes someone unique while finding a way to make it work within their ecosystem,” he said.
“I absolutely look back at [Disney] as a creative school,” Nick added. “It was also school, to be honest. I was between the ages of 14 and 18, which is my high school years. That graduating class of Miley [Cyrus], Selena and Demi [Lovato], it was all of us coming up together and you can see, frankly, the length of our careers and the success we’ve all been able to have.”
Miley is also nominated for a 2025 Golden Globe, for Best Original Song, Motion Picture for her song “Beautiful That Way” from The Last Showgirl.
If you missed it, Nick joined wife Priyanka Chopra at the closing night of the Red Sea Film Festival, where she received a special award!
Coming up, Nick is making his big return to Broadway in an upcoming musical revival, alongside a Tony-winning actress.
