PEOPLE have complained that The Last of Us and Uncharted developer, Naughty Dog, has been frequently releasing remakes and remasters instead of new games.
However, one of the biggest announcements of The Game Awards 2024, is that Naughty Dog is working on a new game, and it’s not like anything they’ve made in the past.
Naughty Dog’s next game is an intergalactic adventure[/caption] A brand-new franchise that is directed by Neil Druckmann[/caption] The score is by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross[/caption]While people have criticised the studio for releasing various remakes and remasters of The Last of Us series, they were thrilled to see something new.
Naughty Dog’s upcoming game is called Intergalactic and is a retro sci-fi bounty hunter RPG.
That sounds like a lot of words, but it’s a similar premise to Star Wars Outlaws, which launched this year, just with a retro twist.
This is the first new IP from the studio in over a decade since The Last of Us originally launched in 2013.
We expect Intergalactic to take place in a semi-open world, also like Star Wars Outlaws.

Players will have their own spaceship in Intergalactic, with a sleek sportscar look.
Intergalactic is confirmed to come to PS5, but no other platforms or a release date were revealed during The Game Awards.
