In May, she attended the Cannes Film Festival to promote her film "Emilia Pérez," and she looked like a classic Hollywood star on the red carpet.
Gomez wore a black Saint Laurent gown with white, off-the-shoulder sleeves, Santoni heels, and statement diamonds from Bulgari.
Instead of colorful minidresses, she began wearing sparkling numbers in darker shades.

At the August premiere of "Only Murders in the Building," Gomez sported a $555 halter dress from Self-Portrait.
It had a lace neckline with a silver bow attached and black sparkles from top to bottom.
The chic design was an elevated version of the youthful minidresses she's worn throughout her career. Gomez completed the look with $3,264 Roger Vivier heels and Marli jewels.
Statement jewelry also became a major part of her wardrobe.

For the Toronto International Film Festival in September, Gomez donned a sparkling Rodarte gown with a halter neckline, peplum waist, and rose appliqué.
It was her jewelry, however, that stole the show. She wore a variety of Tiffany and Co. rings and dangling earrings.
Walsh described Gomez's look on Instagram as "the divine feminine."
Gomez has turned to classic American designers like Ralph Lauren for custom pieces.

At the 2024 Emmy Awards, she wore a black velvet gown with glitter-covered halter straps. The Ralph Lauren design, which was made specifically for Gomez, also had a mermaid-style skirt that pooled around her feet.
The actor amplified the classic gown with Tiffany and Co. jewels and Ralph Lauren heels.
Gomez has seemingly adopted a solid black uniform, no matter the style or designer she wears.

In September, Gomez attended the New York Film Festival. As has become customary for the actor, she wore all black.
Vera Wang custom-made the halter, scoop-neck gown for Gomez. It featured a floor-length skirt, a form-fitting bodice, and a large bow attached at the back. There were also matching over-the-elbow gloves.
Gomez wore the dress with an assortment of rings and earrings from Tiffany and Co.
Rather than wearing daring dresses, Gomez has recently opted for simple ones with intricate details.

Just look at the Schiaparelli gown she wore to the 2024 London Film Festival in October.
The velvet dress extended to the floor and had a gold-encrusted keyhole in the center of its bodice.
Baublebar jewelry and Louboutin heels completed the luxurious look.

For the 2024 Academy Museum Gala, the Rare Beauty founder wore a custom piece from Alaïa. It had a leather bralette beneath a blue velvet gown with a deep, scooped neckline.
The fabric looked rich and timeless but also fashion-forward when paired with leather detailing and chunky silver accessories from Tiffany and Co.
Still, timeless, neutral styles are Gomez's signature.
