COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – A person has been hospitalized after an early Thursday morning shooting near the John Glenn Columbus International Airport.
According to police a man was shot near the intersection of East 5th Avenue and North Yearling Road just south of the airport. Officers and Columbus Fire medics arrived at the scene at around 5:50 a.m.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital and listed in critical condition.
Two vehicles were parked on the side of the road behind yellow caution tape as officers surveyed the scene. Police believe the shooting stems from a road-rage incident, but did not indicate if any suspects are in custody.
