CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Christopher Culnan, Shenendehowa's longtime athletic director, has resigned, effective June 30, 2025, according to the school district. His resignation was approved at Tuesday's Board of Education meeting.
Culnan has been the director for almost 20 years. According to the school district, the high school's Associate Principal, Lucas LaBarre, will be covering the responsibilities for Culnan in the interim.
Culnan's resignation letter was an addendum to the staffing agenda, which the board accepted. According to a statement by the district, the athletics department is one of the best in the state and they will strive to maintain that standard.
"Mr. Culnan has served as the Athletic Director of Shenendehowa for almost 20 years. His contributions are appreciated," the district said. "The Shenendehowa Athletics Department is one of the best in the state and we appreciate the work and the leadership. As we look to find new leadership, we will do so with our steadfast commitment to providing the highest quality experience for our student-athletes."
