HUDSON, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- On Monday, Hudson Police found human skeletal remains on Mill Street. Police have now confirmed the remains were of an adult.
The gender, however, is yet to be confirmed, said Police Chief Mishanda Franklin. She hopes to receive DNA lab results before Christmas but was not given a timeline from state officials.
On Monday, police received a call from a survey crew who came across the remains around 11:18 a.m. Detectives and police officers responded and confirmed the remains were human.
Hudson Police are still investigating the remains and are working with the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations and Forensic Identification Unit for the case. Stay with NEWS10 as more information becomes available.
