TOPEKA (KSNT) – A local jewelry business is holding a raffle this holiday season for an expensive diamond ring to help benefit children in the Topeka area.
Diamonds By Design is raffling away a diamond ring with a value of $13,260 this December with all proceeds going to the 20/30 Club of Topeka for its Christmas 4 Kids event. Organizers for the Christmas event say this is an opportunity for children in need to choose whatever gift they want from Walmart.
"We just really believe that were not even their blessings just to sit on them were supposed to give them back," said Kari Roulette with Diamonds By Design.
People who want to participate in the raffle can spend $10 for a single chance to win or $40 for five chances. You can pick up raffle tickets at Diamond By Design located at 2121 Southwest Wanamaker Road in Suite 113 with the drawing happening on Christmas Eve.
"It's having the ability to help people and help kids out, especially the kids who need it the most," said 20/30 Club member and Topeka boxer John Cantrell.
