Tottenham Hotspur have joined a host of top clubs in the race for one of the Premier League’s most consistent attackers – Bryan Mbeumo.
Bryan Mbeumo is arguably one of the most under-appreciated players across the Premier League at the moment. However, it appears he is now earning the admirers he deserves.
The versatile attacker has been delivering consistently even since Brentford’s promotion to the top flight back in 2021, but he has perhaps been overshadowed by the likes of Ivan Toney at times.
The Cameroon international has come into his own this season, having scored nine goals and provided two assists in 15 Premier League matches so far.
TBR Football are now reporting that a host of Premier League clubs are now eyeing a move for the left-footed attacker.
It is revealed that Spurs have been joined in the race for the 25-year-old by Arsenal, Aston Villa, Manchester City and Liverpool ahead of the January window.
The publication asserts that Mbuemo was valued at £50m by the Bees last summer but does not provide any information on how much the West London club will demand for him in January or next summer.
Mbeumo is the sort of versatile attacker Ange Postecoglou loves having in his squad, with the Brentford man being capable of playing on the right, as a central striker, or potentially even as a number ten.
Jamie O’Hara is certainly a big fan of the former Troyes player, admitting that he would love to see him at Spurs.
The pundit told talkSPORT (5:55 pm, December 7, 2024) about Mbeumo: “He is 25 as well, so he has a lot of football left in him. I would have him at Tottenham. I would snap your hands off for him.”
