FREEVIEW has rolled out a refresh to TV boxes across the UK with three channels disappearing from the service.
The trio includes a popular kids channel – but thankfully there is still another way to access shows for free.
POP Max is popular among kids[/caption] Latest changes see some closures and channel movers[/caption]POP Max was available in some parts on Freeview number 206.
The channel shows kids favourites including Pokemon Master Journeys, Grizzy & The Lemmings and Power Rangers Beast Morphers.
Although POP Max is going from Freeview it’s not shutting down for good.
Instead of being available on traditional aerial the channel’s content is free digitally via the POP Player.
As part of the move, POP’s other channels have been shifted on Freeview too.
So Tiny POP is now at 206 – having previously sat at 208.
And the POP Player channel is now found on 208, instead of 211 as before.
Other channels on Freeview include the removal of FilmStream just nine months after landing on the platform.
However, it too will continue to be accessible via other streaming TVs devices.
Freeview’s only other big change is the closure of Create & Craft.
The channel ceased broadcasting after falling into administration in October.
Its slot on Freeview, number 85, has sat empty ever since.
This means a new channel could come along and take its spot in the New Year.
