Good Tuesday Evening,
It has been another gray, and at times wet day with rain showers, but temps well above normal in the lower 50s. The cold front is slowly pushing to the east tonight, with temps slowly falling to around 40 by midnight. The cooler air will arrive overnight, with a light wet mix changing to snow showers during the morning on Wednesday as temps will hover in the low to mid 30s.
While temps will actually start about 3-5 degrees above normal, temps will only warm a degree or two through the whole day, and winds will pick up making it feel even colder. Afternoon highs will end up being about 10 degrees below normal for this time of the year. We will have some scattered snow showers mid to late morning, then another round late in the day. Most of this will total well under an inch in total for the day, but may create some slick spots.
Wednesday night, temps will plummet into the mid to upper teens, with near 0 to single digit wind chills in much of our area. Thursday will be a very cold start to the day, with those single digit wind chills remaining through the morning, and climbing into the lower teens at best with highs only in the mid 20s on Thursday with sunshine returning.
We will trade the sun for clouds, and milder temps on Friday, with temps within an handful of normal in the upper 30s. Rain showers will return Saturday with highs back above normal in the middle 40s. Expect temps in the upper 40s with rain showers on Sunday. We will be back in the lower 50s on Monday with cloudy skies. A quick shot of showers overnight Monday night, and a bit of sun returns Tuesday with highs in the lower 50s.
