THE Only Way is Essex star Junaid Ahmed had clarified his future on the show amid rumours he looked set to quit the reality show for good.
The TV star has been the centre of the drama on the hit ITVBe reality programme since joining.
Junaid Ahmed has teased an explosive Christmas on Towie with boyfriend Joe[/caption]As well as his controversial union with boyfriend Joe Blackman, Junaid has found himself locked in a slew of heated rows which have resulted in him refusing to speak to certain co-stars.
It led to speculation that he could be set to leave the programme for good amid the feuds but in an exclusive interview with The Sun, Junaid has clarified that could not be further from the truth.
Speaking to us at Tulley’s Christmas Light Festival, the reality star revealed he would not be going anywhere and would be heading out to Bali soon to begin the filming of the next series of the show.
Junaid told us: “I have heard a lot of rumours that I am planning to leave the show – let me tell you one thing, I am not going anywhere!
“As much as my cast members probably want me too!
“I think people would probably be happy if I did leave but I am not leaving TOWIE anytime soon, I literally love the show.”
Junaid was joined by his partner Joe as he spoke to The Sun as they gushed over how being part of the programme had “changed their lives” after bringing them to one another.
But ahead of a new series, the action appears to have shown no signs of slowing down with the loved-up couple teasing the upcoming Essexmas special as the most “explosive” ever.
Junaid told The Sun: “I would sit there and say it is probably the most explosive Christmas special that TOWIE has ever, ever had.”
Joe chipped in to add: “I’ve never experienced anything like it.”
Junaid added that the scenes, which feature all of this year’s cast members around one table, would be “jaw-dropping” as he confessed: “It was a recipe for a disaster.”
One of those cast members that the star is likely to clash with is his former close friend, Dani Imbert.
An explosive row between Junaid and Dani wrecked their friendship with Dani recently admitting that it seemed unlikely that there would be anyway back for the pair after recent attempts to rectify their friendship fell flat.
“We have spoke, but it wasn’t resolved,” Dani said.
“It wasn’t heated and it wasn’t a massive argument but we’ve realised we are two different people.”
Last month, we told how the former pals had ‘snubbed’ each other after the show’s explosive Christmas special.
Filming for the festive episode, which airs this month, took place in November.
