Non-profit helps renovate cancer fighter's home
NINNEKAH, Okla. (KFOR) — A Ninnekah man living with terminal cancer finally has a new home after a local non-profit heard his story about living in an old semi-truck. After News 4's original story ran, multiple businesses reached out to help and the renovation team got a lot of work done quickly.

Local non-profit, Tenaciously Teal, heard his story and wanted to help out by renovating a shipping container he had on his property.
When News 4 talked to them last week, the team was almost ready for renovations.
"We really need a plumber to help him, you know, get this project done right," said Tarah Green, the CEO of Tenaciously Teal.
After the story ran, the team at Tenaciously Teal told News 4 multiple people stepped up to help and they were ready to start renovating.
"I don't know what to say but thank you. It would've taken me forever to do the work that's been done in....three hours. It would've taken me three weeks. I appreciate everyone that's helped," said Josh Protz, who's living with terminal cancer.
Josh finally has a home complete with a brand new fridge that's a big step up from before.
The renovation team said there's still more work to be done in the home and they have plans to go back in a few days to finish up.
They also said the local community donated furniture, kitchen appliances, and clothing to Josh.
BR Custom Homes, T5 Plumbing LLC, and Mike Spivey Insulation and Spray Foam helped out on Saturday with the renovations of Josh's shipping container.
Tenaciously Teal said they couldn't have done everything without the big group effort and help from everyone.
