Grandmother of Five Arrested Last Week and Shackled In Leg Irons For Meandering Around Capitol on January 6th! SPITEFUL BIDEN REGIME IS STILL HELLBENT ON PUNISHING TRUMP SUPPORTERS!

*By guest writer Rabbi Jonathan Gross

A nearly blind grandmother of five from a small farm in Missouri was arrested by the FBI almost four years after January 6th for alleged “misdemeanors” as the fallen Biden Regime makes a mad dash to punish more Trump supporters before they lose power.

The FBI arrested Suzan McClain on Thursday, December 6, 2024, for misdemeanors committed almost 4 years ago on January 6, 2021. The FBI agent who arrested her is normally assigned to a sexual crimes task force. He is supposed to be pursuing child sex traffickers, but the children being held in captivity will have to wait on the backburner because SuZan McClain trespassed four years ago.

SuZan is a grandmother of five, with another on the way in a few months. She is currently undergoing ongoing treatment for tears and holes in her retinas. Her last retinal surgery was in September, and she has a follow-up appointment scheduled in a few weeks to determine the next stages of her treatment. She lives alone on a small farm in rural Missouri. She has no criminal history. She is not accused of committing any specific acts of violence or vandalism. She entered the building, meandered around, and exited peacefully.

The FBI agent told her that he had been with the FBI for many years, but this was his first-ever misdemeanor arrest. Because she is undergoing treatment on her retinas, SuZan cannot drive long distances by herself, and the federal court is a four-hour drive from her home. So the FBI agent had to drive an hour each way to pick her up and then drive four hours to and from the court. They were in court for over five hours, so the FBI agent spent over 15 hours dealing with SuZan. This is in addition to the many hours he spent building the case against her and the hours he will spend assisting the DOJ in her prosecution.

When SuZan arrived at the courthouse, she was put in handcuffs and leg irons which were secured by chains to shackles that were fastened around her waist. She was held in a cell for hours. Though there was a small toilet in the cell, she chose not to use it because of the shackles and lack of privacy. She was detained at the courthouse for over five hours, for a hearing that lasted approximately 30 minutes.

Suzan McClain was arrested almost four years after January 6th for “misdemeanors”.

The Court ultimately released her late in the afternoon with pretrial conditions. The case was transferred to DC, where she has a hearing scheduled for December 17. If SuZan fails to abide by any of the conditions or to appear at the DC court as required, a warrant will be immediately issued for her arrest and she will likely be sent to jail to await trial, which could be a year from now because the DC Court’s schedule is filled with other January 6 cases.

Her conditions prohibit her from traveling outside of her judicial district without providing the probation officer with seven days’ notice. Because she lives at the border of the judicial district, she cannot travel an hour west or south without permission. The hospital where she received surgery for her retinas and where she is scheduled for follow up appointments is under two hours away from her home but is just outside of the judicial district. There is no other hospital with an eye specialist in her area. The probation officer was unsympathetic, so SuZan will have to appeal her conditions. She is also prohibited from having any contact with other January 6 defendants, which includes her two best friends, two other J6 grandmothers who were already convicted and sentenced. These punitive restrictions serve no legitimate purpose.

SuZan McClain before her political persecution by the Biden Regime.

According to the Court’s order, “home visits will be conducted throughout your period of supervision,” which means a judicial officer will regularly be dispatched to drive four hours to check on SuZan, at the taxpayers’ expense. She has to check in every Tuesday and must contact her probation officer immediately if certain events occur, including a traffic stop. She has to ask permission to visit her daughter and grandchildren who live outside the district. She has to file a motion with the court for permission to leave the state. She is prohibited from leaving the country.

SuZan is supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, but the Court has already imposed conditions that are routine for a sentence of probation after a conviction. If convicted by a DC jury, which is inevitable, she will likely be sentenced to a term of additional probation of one to three years with identical conditions to her pretrial supervision, but she will receive no credit for time served before trial. Worse, she will also be sentenced to up to a year in prison if the DC judge finds that she doesn’t show sufficient “remorse.”

Hopefully Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy will use the resources at DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) to look into the incredible waste of taxpayers dollars by the KGB Department of Injustice. They are well aware that Trump will pardon January 6th defendants in a little over a month’s time, but continue to arrest and prosecute innocent Americans instead of fighting real crimes like sex trafficking and fentanyl smuggling.

Why would the FBI assign an agent from the sexual crimes task force to handle this misdemeanor case from four years ago? Who gave the orders? Why were resources allocated to pursue a case that will almost certainly be dismissed by the Trump DOJ?  Pardons for J6ers are not enough. The American People need assurances that the Government cannot be weaponized to punish political enemies.
