ROYAL fans have gone into a meltdown over a mystery guest ‘resembling Clark Kent’ who was sat behind Princess Kate at her Christmas concert.
Photos were released of the Princess of Wales sitting on the front row at Westminster Abbey – but it was the ‘handsome’ man behind who stole the limelight.
Fans were quick to swoon over a tall, dark-haired man in glasses, who was wearing a smart coat and scarf.
One royal fan took to X, formerly Twitter, saying: “Who is this handsome man sitting behind the Wales family?”
One said: “Looks like Superman to me, Kent Clark.”
The mystery man is George Gilman, who is married to Lady Rose Gilman, who has royal ties.
Lady Rose and George have been seen at a number of royal events in the past, including King Charles‘s coronation in May 2023.
Meanwhile, George was sitting in a very similar position at Kate’s 2023 Together at Christmas concert.
While Lady Rose and George have royal connections, they have normal jobs alongside being parents to two children: Lyla, 14, and Rufus, 12.
Lady Rose works in the film industry and has two Harry Potter films and Little Britain on her credits.
Meanwhile, George is director of asset management and works for Resolution Property.
The pair wed in July 2008 at Queen’s Chapel, St James’ Palace, with Lady Rose dazzling in the Iveagh Tiara, which was gifted to Queen Mary and worn by Rose’s mum.
Numerous royals were on the guestlist, including Princess Anne, Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie, Peter and his ex-wife Autumn Phillips.
Princess Kate was also in attendance, four years before her own royal wedding, but was solo as William was practising disaster relief in the Caribbean.
The Princess of Wales beamed as she held her star-studded Christmas celebrations at Westminster Abbey on Friday, in the most poignant carol service yet amid her cancer diagnosis.

The artist, who performed during the festivities, expressed sympathy for the princess, who this year underwent chemotherapy.
Kate confessed: “I didn’t know this time last year it was going to be the year I’ve just had.”
The princess, who married Prince William in 2011 and attended the late Queen’s funeral in 2022 at the abbey, also told how the building held “so many memories” for her.
The royal was admitted to The London Clinic for major abdominal surgery in January this year, before bravely announcing her cancer diagnosis in March.
She has only been to a handful of public events throughout her recovery, including Trooping the Colour, the Men’s Wimbledon final, and the Remembrance Sunday Cenotaph service.
In September Kate released another touching video message in which she shared she had finished chemotherapy and is focusing on being “cancer free”.
