The Supreme Court dismissed a plea to clear highway blockades in Punjab caused by protesting farmers. Farmers have been demonstrating at the Punjab-Haryana border since February 13, their march to Delhi halted by security. The plea, filed by a Punjab activist, also sought removal of protest restrictions and prevention of future blockades, alleging the protests are destabilizing Punjab.
